Nestled among lush vegetation and rustling palm trees on Zihuatanejo’s tranquil Playa La Ropa, one of Mexico’s most beautiful beaches, Villa del Sol is a peaceful tropical paradise within easy reach. All suites are just steps from the palm-studded private beach which stretches for 600 feet along the calm blue waters of the ocean, and is strewn with comfortable lounge chairs under individual palapas. The hotel's 45 rooms and suites are located in beautiful adobe-like villas amidst luxuriant tropical gardens. Strolling along winding pathways, you catch glimpses of private terraces with large woven hammocks and mosaic-tiled minipools hidden behind bushes of brilliantly colored hibiscus. The 55 individually designed rooms and suites are tucked away in several two-story casitas amidst luxuriant tropical gardens. The rooms and suites are equipped with all the amenities that will make your stay as pleasant as possible: direct dial phones that let you stay in touch with the outside world, adjustable air conditioning and ceiling fans for a cool head, fluffy towels for a fun day on the beach and Lord & Mayfair soaps and shampoos to prevent too much bleached hair afterwards. Comfortable bathrobes and electric hairdryers help you get ready for dinner in style The split-level suite has a king size canopied bed, sitting area, bathroom finished in indigenous marble, and balcony or terrace with a hammock. Each suite has telephone, satellite television, double insulated windows, adjustable air conditioning and ceiling fan, minibar and electronic safe. Some have a private outdoor minipool.

Children...Under 12 can be accepted on request, in Garden Suite and large Beach Suite only and are entitled to a 50% reduction on mandatory meal plans and dinners surcharge. During the winter season no children under 14 can be accepted (a few exceptions can be made in Master & Beach Suites). Tax, Gratuities and Service Charge: Room rates are subject to 15% vat, 2% lodging tax and a daily 5% service charge. A 15% vat and 10% gratuity will be added on Food & Beverage. Minimum stay requirements: A 4-night minimum stay for all bookings, except for months June to September where a 3 night minimum is required. Christmas/New Year's bookings require a 7 nights minimum stay (Dec 19 - Jan 5). Deposit: All bookings have to be guaranteed with a 3 night deposit (except June to September witch require a two night deposit) Christmas/New Year's booking requires payment in full 3 months prior to arrival. Cancellation: 90% refund on any cancellation received 30 days prior to scheduled arrival. Penalty of 1 night will be assessed on cancellations received 14 days prior to arrival (7 days for months June to September) and 2 nights on cancellations less than 14 days prior to scheduled arrival (7 days for months June to September. No-show will be 3 nights charge and 2 nights for months June to September. Christmas/New year's cancellations are 90% refundable if cancel more than 60 days and 50% refundable if cancel 30-60 days prior to scheduled arrival. Cancellations received less than 30 days prior to scheduled arrival date are not refundable. Any departure prior to pre-scheduled departure date will result in a penalty for the full stay.
